Your Privex Pay merchant account is the foundation for everything you do on the platform — from generating payment links to receiving weekly payouts. This page covers each stage of account setup in detail: registration, email verification, two-factor authentication, identity verification (KYC), and payout configuration. It also explains the ongoing monitoring applied to all accounts and the policy on account transfers.

Registration

To create your account, go to privexpay.com and enter your email address and a password. Your email address becomes your login identifier and the address where account notifications are sent, so use one you check regularly.

Email verification

After registering, Privex Pay sends a verification email to the address you provided. Click the link in that email to confirm your address and activate your account. The link is time-limited — if it expires before you click it, return to the sign-in page to request a new one.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Privex Pay requires you to enable two-factor authentication before you can access the full Merchant Dashboard. To set up 2FA:
  1. Open an authenticator app on your mobile device (Google Authenticator and Authy are both compatible).
  2. Scan the QR code displayed in your account security settings.
  3. Enter the six-digit code generated by the app to confirm that 2FA is working correctly.
Once enabled, you will need to enter a fresh code from your authenticator app each time you sign in. Keep your authenticator app accessible — if you lose access to it, account recovery requires contacting Privex Pay support.

KYC identity verification

KYC (Know Your Customer) verification is required before you can accept live payments. It is a one-time process that verifies your identity and ensures Privex Pay can comply with financial regulations.
You cannot process live transactions until KYC is approved. Complete this step as soon as possible so your account is ready when you are.
During KYC, you will be asked to provide:
  • A government-issued photo ID: a valid passport or national identity card. The document must be current and clearly legible.
  • A liveness check: a short camera-based verification that confirms you are a real person physically present during the process, not a photo or recording.
  • Device and network analysis: Privex Pay collects information about the device and network you use during verification as an additional fraud prevention measure.
After submitting your KYC documents, Privex Pay reviews your application. Once approved, you gain full access to the Merchant Dashboard and can start accepting payments immediately.

Ongoing monitoring

All merchant accounts are subject to ongoing monitoring after KYC approval. This is standard practice for a Merchant of Record operating in regulated payment environments. Monitoring helps Privex Pay detect unusual activity, protect your account, and maintain platform integrity. You do not need to take any action for routine monitoring — it runs in the background automatically.

Configuring your payout destination

After KYC approval, set up where you want to receive your earnings. Navigate to Payout Settings in the Merchant Dashboard and choose one of the following options:

Ethereum (ETH) wallet

Enter your ETH wallet address. Privex Pay sends your cleared earnings in ETH every Monday. There is no minimum payout amount.

Bank account

Enter your bank account details. Funds are transferred on the standard Monday payout schedule for all cleared transactions from the previous week.
You can update your payout destination at any time in Payout Settings. Changes apply to the next scheduled payout cycle.

Account transfer policy

Privex Pay merchant accounts are non-transferable. You may not sell, assign, or otherwise transfer your account to another individual or entity without prior written consent from Privex Pay. Unauthorized transfers may result in account termination.
If you have a legitimate need to transfer account ownership — for example, due to a business acquisition — contact Privex Pay support in writing before taking any action. Privex Pay will review the request and provide instructions if the transfer is approved.
