Payment links are the fastest way to start accepting payments with Privex Pay. You create a link from your dashboard, set an amount and description, and share it — by email, SMS, social media, or embedded on any page. Each link comes with a matching QR code you can download and use in print or digital materials.
You do not need a website, a developer, or any technical setup to use payment links. If you have a Privex Pay account, you can start accepting payments immediately.
Payment links work well for any situation where you need to collect payment outside of a traditional checkout flow:
  • Freelancers and service providers — send a link to a client after completing work
  • Creators and educators — sell digital products, courses, or content without building a storefront
  • Service businesses — collect deposits, retainers, or one-off payments by SMS or email
  • Events and pop-ups — display a QR code for in-person payments without a card terminal

Log in to your dashboard

Go to privexpay.com and sign in to your merchant account.

Open Payment Links

In the left sidebar, select Payment Links, then click Create link.

Set the amount and description

Enter the payment amount and an optional description that will appear on the customer’s checkout page. For example: $150.00 — Logo design — May invoice.

Generate the link

Click Generate. Privex Pay instantly creates a unique payment URL and a downloadable QR code.

Share or embed

Copy the link to your clipboard or download the QR code image. Share it however works best for your use case.

What gets generated

When you create a payment link, Privex Pay produces two assets:
  • A shareable URL — a unique privexpay.com/pay/... link that opens a hosted, mobile-friendly checkout page
  • A QR code — a downloadable PNG you can use in invoices, receipts, flyers, or anywhere else
The checkout page is hosted by Privex Pay and branded with your merchant name. Your customers do not need a Privex Pay account to complete a payment.
Paste the link directly into the body of your email or invoice. You can also attach the QR code image as a visual alternative.
Download the QR code and include it in a PDF invoice. Clients can scan it directly from their phone to pay without typing a URL.

Security and compliance

Every payment link checkout is protected by 256-bit encryption. When your customer enters their card details, Privex Pay tokenizes the data immediately — raw card numbers are never stored or passed to you. Privex Pay processes the transaction as the Merchant of Record and handles all chargeback liability and compliance obligations.
